This cluster of pinecones, created with 196 painted skateboard decks, is inspired by the cones of the Colorado Blue Spruce and their dramatic color shift as they mature. This transition speaks to the year-round adventure that can be found near Denver, whether within the unique and vibrant city itself or the beautiful and expansive wilderness surrounding it.

Turning the fence into a threshold of sorts, this giant frog frog climbs up from his marshy home to join the joggers and cyclists on the Cross Kirkland Corridor. The integrated piece adds a playful narrative to the site, while bringing to light the division between the natural and man made.

Funded by Visit McMinnville, this dimensional mural is inspired by the local wine industry and the seeming magic of the region. The piece playfully depicts a group of orange sulfur butterflies making off with a bundle of grapes. The dimensionality of the piece is heightened by the addition of a single aluminum panel extending beyond the building’s roofline.

South Seattle College

Created for the Washington Arts Commission, in partnership with South Seattle College, this colorful collection of reconditioned oil drums mimics industrial stacks of barrels while creating a pixilated image of a native raspberry flower. The work speaks to the scale of the auto industry, our relationship to the land, and the importance of creating a more sustainable and fruitful future.

The work was created with fabrication assistance from Shilshole Fabricators and installed by ArtSite Ltd.

Created in conjunction with the new Patricia Reser Center for the Arts, this group of giant Fender’s blue butterflies is entering the Central Parking Garage from nearby Beaverton Creek, creating a stark contrast between the natural and manmade.

Fender’s blue butterfly is an endangered species endemic to the Willamette Valley. As pollinators, they symbolize the spread of art and the preservation of cultures, while their scarcity speaks to the importance and urgency of both.

Once completed, the alley will be a vibrant location for gatherings and performances for the Auburn community. A few more exciting details will be added once the alley is resurfaced.

This community crosswalk project is comprised of artist-designed imagery on five crosswalks at the intersection of Westlake and 7th Ave in downtown Seattle. Depicting scaled topography of the location from 1910, before the removal of Denny Hill, the project was led by the Downtown Seattle Association, Fabricated by Ellis-Flint, and installed by Seattle Department of Transportation.

After the original site was demolished, the work was reinstalled in Pioneer Square with help from the Alliance for Pioneer Square.

These poor benches have been crushed by gigantic acorns. One was created for an outdoor exhibit in Michigan and now resides at a private residence in Pittsburgh. The other is permanently and fittingly installed at Oak Harbor High School in Ohio.
